Say no kindly and briefly
Easy start

Somebody asked you to run the bake sale. Or help them move. Or join one more group chat. You want to say no, and your brain wants to write a four-paragraph apology.
Let AI help you keep it short and kind. In ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Grok:
“Help me say no to this, kindly and briefly. Here's what they asked: [paste it or describe it]. Who they are to me: [friend / boss / neighbor / family]. I'd like to [keep the door open for later / suggest someone else / just decline]. Give me 3 versions: one warm, one short, one a little funny. Under 60 words each. No over-apologizing.”
Pick one, tweak it so it sounds like you, and send it.
A kind no is still kind. You don't owe anybody a novel.
Lewis said yes to everything in October. He's currently helping four people move.
After the first answer, reply with what you'd change (shorter, simpler, more detail) and ask for a second version. Then save the prompt that worked so you can reuse it.
