Today in AI Monster Land

From Monster Letter #1 · Fri, Oct 23, 2026

Great day in AI Monster Land! Start with a chilly little giggle, then turn a photo of your fridge into tonight's dinner and see what Meta's Muse helper is up to. Scroll on down!

Why did the AI ask the fridge for advice?

Because the fridge always keeps its cool! 😂

Monster AI Tips, with Lewis holding a lightbulb and Martin holding a phone
1. Snap your fridge, get dinner

Take a photo of what's in your fridge, give it to ChatGPT, Grok or Gemini, and ask: “What can I cook tonight with this?” You'll get a few ideas plus easy steps.

2. Make any message sound friendlier

Nervous about a text or email? Paste it in and say: “Make this kinder and shorter, but keep my point.” Read it, tweak it, send it.

3. Get a confusing letter in plain English

Snap a photo of a confusing bill, letter or form (cover any account numbers first) and ask: “Explain this simply. Do I need to do anything?”

1. Meta's Muse helper is getting a brainier upgrade

Muse is Meta's free “do it for me” app (US only for now) that can sort your email, set reminders and run errands, and it asks before it sends or buys anything. Meta says a smarter brain is coming to it soon, paid users first.

2. ChatGPT now lets you lock private chats

Planning a surprise party or asking something personal? Lock that chat with a PIN or Face ID before you hand your phone to the grandkids. It works on the free plan too and is rolling out now.

3. Gemini rides along in your car

If your car uses Android Auto, you can now say things like “What's my flight gate?” or “Take me to my doctor's appointment” and Gemini finds the answer in your Gmail or Calendar, hands-free (only if you turn that on).

— Lewis & Martin

Meet Lewis & Martin

Lewis, a fuzzy teal monster with one big eye, freckles and little orange horns, grinning and holding a red crayon

Lewis

Teal, one big eye, a face full of freckles. He gets excited about everything and asks all the questions you were afraid to ask.

Martin, a purple monster with three eyes and spots, smiling and giving a thumbs-up

Martin

Purple, three eyes, a bunch of spots. He's the cool one. He already found the shortcut and he's happy to share it.

Why we made this

Schools mostly don't teach AI yet, and a lot of families have never really tried it. Some people are even a little scared of it. We get it.

AI for Monsters is here to show how easy, helpful and honestly kind of wonderful AI can be, one small lesson at a time. It's free, because everybody should get to learn this.
