Suspicious text or email → red-flag scam check
Got a text saying your package is “on hold” and you need to tap a link? Yeah. Me too. Every week.
Before you tap anything, copy the message text (not the link) into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Grok:
“Does this message look like a scam? List the red flags in plain English, tell me what a real company would usually do instead, and what I should do next. Don’t open any links. Message: [paste the text, with your personal info removed].”
AI isn’t the final word. If it’s about your bank, a delivery, or anything with money, go to the company’s official app or website yourself. Not the link in the text.
Never paste passwords, codes, or account numbers. Scammers would love that. AI doesn’t need it.
Lewis forwards me every single one of these. Bless him.
