Turn a long PDF/email into 5 bullets
Got a long email, school notice, or PDF that looks like it was written to make your eyes glaze over? Same.
Paste the text (or drop the file if your AI app allows it) into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Grok and ask for five bullets — just the stuff you’d actually need to remember.
Copy/paste this:
“Summarize this into exactly 5 plain-English bullets. Focus on: what it is, what I need to do, any deadlines/dates, money involved, and anything I might miss. Skip the fluff. Here’s the text: [paste]”
I do this for HOA emails, insurance letters, long work threads… anything that used to sit unread in my inbox for three days. Five bullets later, I know if I can ignore it or if I need to act today.
Pro move: ask a follow-up — “What should I reply?” — once you’ve got the summary.
